New Business
The committee discussed the quotes for the fire alarm systems at the Highway Department and the Fire Department. The committee received a bid from 1-2-3 Lock, Key and Security in the amount of $7500.00 to do the fire alarm system in the Highway garage buildings. Discussion followed. Norm made a motion to expend the $5000.00 towards the Highway Garage Buildings fire alarm system, with Mark C. trying to get lower bids then the $7500.00, at Mark C. discretion he will forward his recommended bid to Elizabeth prior to November 29, 2007 to go ahead with the work. Gylene seconded the motion, the motion passed.
Discussion followed on the Fire Departments fire alarm system. The JLMC will proceed with the Fire Department upgrades in their alarm system in the 2008 budget. We are asking that $5000.00 be put into the JLMC budget for 2008.
Norm discussed the NIMS compliance needed throughout all departments. Discussion followed on offering a course once a year to Bristol employees that have not had the class. This will allow the town to stay in compliance.
Mark B. spoke about an email he recently received from Dennis Ford (NHDOT) in reference to the new laws regarding any type of flashing lights on vehicles. Any vehicle with a flashing light will need to obtain a permit from the State of New Hampshire (Police/Fire are exempt). This will become mandatory in either 2008/2009.
Minutes
The minutes of November 1, 2007 were reviewed. Norm made a motion to accept the minutes as written, Peggy seconded the motion, the motion passed.
The Action Plan was discussed all items have been completed accept the attendance at the Supervisor School. Discussion followed on Primex and LGC.
Peggy indicated that she has reviewed all the personnel files and is only missing the Safety Responsibility Forms and the Safety Orientation Forms from one employee in the Town Office and those from the Fire Department. Elizabeth indicated that she would like them done as soon as possible.
Sheryl updated the committee on their concerns at the Old Town Hall Building. She indicated that the State told her that the vents could be covered or that a cleaning company could clean up the mess. The vents have been covered until the renovations take place at that location.
The next scheduled JLMC meeting date was set for January 10, 2008 at 12:00 at the Library.
Norm made a motion to adjourn the meeting; Mark C. seconded the motion, the motion passed. The meeting was adjourned at 12:40 PM.
