ATTENDED: Clay Dingman (Chairman), Larry Douglas (Vice-Chairman), Dorcas Gordon, Sandra Heaney
ABSENT: David Bernier (unaccounted), Mark Greenwood (prior plans), William Barrett (alternate; unaccounted), Jen Jones (alternate; unaccounted), Samuel Worthen, Jr. (alternate; unaccounted), Mike McGrath (alternate; unaccounted)
OTHERS: Mrs. Douglas
The meeting was opened and called to order at 7:00 p.m.
MINUTES of 14FEB06: There were no changes to the minutes. Sandra Heaney made a motion, seconded by Dorcas Gordon, to accept the minutes. The motion carried.
DISCUSSION: The Commission talked about the upcoming March town ballot vote and the possibility of preparing a brief flyer to distribute to voters before they enter the polls.
Clay Dingman proposed to design the flyer based on photographs pulled together by Larry Douglas from Bristol Historical Society archives. The intent with the images was to show the viewer an example of an historic Bristol structure that no longer exists as a result of being torn down to make way for another, current structure; the implication from this was that the historic structure might have been protected/successfully repurposed had the HD Ordinance existed at the time.
NEXT MEETING: will be held on April 11, 2006.
The Commission finished its discussion and waited for any members of the public to show up in order to learn more about the proposed HD Ordinance; this meeting had been held specifically for that purpose. No further members of the public showed up; after waiting half an hour and with no further business, Sandra Heaney made a motion, seconded by Dorcas Gordon, to adjourn at 7:30 p.m. The motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Clay Dingman, Chairman
