In the case of a holiday observed by the Town of Bristol the Transfer Station will be closed and will reopen the following day (ex: if there is a holiday on Monday the transfer station will be closed and instead open on Tuesday).

The Holiday closures are as follows: Monday, January 1, 2018; Monday, January 15, 2018; Monday, February 19, 2018; Monday, May 28, 2018; Wednesday, July 4, 2018; Monday, September 3, 2018; Monday, October 8, 2018; and Monday, November 12, 2018.

The of Bristol requires Transfer Station Permits for all Bristol property owners that wish to use the Transfer Station. Anyone who does not have a visible Transfer Station Permit on their vehicle will not be allowed to use the Bristol Transfer Station. Transfer Station Permits must be purchased at the Town Clerk / Tax Collector’s Office in the Bristol Town Offices. Prices and requirements for the purchase can be reviewed in the Transfer Station Ordinance

General household garbage is collected at the upper Transfer Station. The Town's lower facility accepts construction and demolition debris, metals, burnable items, appliances, small propane tanks, leaves and wood products.

All material must be from a residence in the Town of Bristol. For more information about the rules and regulations of the Transfer Station please review the Ordinance.
